"In August '07 I took the Harley plunge after thinking it for 27 years. Yeah really, it was the 1980 Low Rider taht first peaked my interest. My wife and I started giving serious consideration to the purchase in May and loved the look of an 07 White Gold Heritage which promptly sold before we could make up our mind. In August we picked up the hunt again and found a White Gold/Pewter Heritage and after talking with Dave and Nancy until closing made a deposit. By the end of October we had put 3400 miles on it, and we absolutely love it. The staff at HD Buell of Bloomington are second to none. When you walk through the door everyone goes out of their way to make you feel right at home, and see to it that all of your questions are answered. "My 1991 FLSTC never failed to start the whole trip. We made it to the DOWN HOME HOG RALLY and had an awesome experience. It was HOT but the concerts and folks were great. Saw Willie G and Nancy, their son, Marine Color Guard, MDA reps - one young woman had a powerful and awesome voice from her wheelchair. Bikers are the most patriotic and compassionate people you can associate with. Montgomery Gentry know how to put on a show and please the crowd. I would love to send some photos if there is a way to do so, of me in my Harley-Davidson of Bloomington shirt on top of ole Smokey near Clingman's dome and a few rally pics. "This is kind of a long story, so if you fall asleep before the end, Bloomington HD is truly a biker’s friend. My 1991 Heritage Softail Classic finally failed to start on Sunday August 12 after vacationing in the Smokies for 2 weeks. I replaced the starter relay switch and circuit boxes and had reached the end of my experience - never had a starter fail completely before when a relay switch did not fix it. My wife and I had paid for our trip registration and reservations to the DOWN HOME Hog Rally in Knoxville Aug 24-26 and were starting to panic. She did not want to ride her 1996 Badboy Springer if I did not have a ride, so I checked 2 dealerships and described my emergency that were within 30 miles (1 of which I had dealt with since 1976) and was told it would be at least 2 weeks. Not good. My neighbor, Jim, had bought a new Roadglide at Bloomington HD a few months ago and had bragged about how well he was treated, so I called Bloomington HD Saturday Aug 18 and talked to Rowdy. He made no promises or guarantees but said he and Rich would look at it Tuesday Aug 21 and see what could be done. When I got there, I was greeted with courtesy, smiles, and offers of help then directed to where I could find Rowdy. Everyone was very friendly and asking if I needed help. Rowdy and Rich did a preliminary check and tried to start the Heritage, then helped me unload the Heritage, filled out the paperwork, and moved it to the front of the shop door. I received a call from Rowdy about 3:30. He said they had diagnosed it, it was definitely the starter, and they had located one to put in it and were tracking down a primary cover gasket. I am sure I will hear from Rowdy today to pick it up today or Thursday morning. Even if I don’t, Bloomington HD went above and beyond the call of duty to try to pull off a miracle for me, and they had never met me before. That is SPECIAL. I will give all my HD business to them. Their dedication to helping me deserves nothing less that my loyalty and dedication to them. THANKS BLOOMINGTON HD!"

"On our last full day of a four day southern Indiana trip and camping at Lake Monroe. Just got done visiting Oliver Wine Gardens and our clutch cable goes out in the middle of the Hoosier State Forest. Of course, 86 Softail with ape hangers, cable would not be in stock, but we asked for a cab number, but instead got a ride back to our campsite. Which, by the way is 10 to 12 miles from town. Didn't get the guys name from the dealership, and we apologize for that, but awesome service considering he didnt know us from Bonnie and Clyde or Jack the Ripper. Of course the day got better when after they lifted the bike onto our truck and we started to pull out the brake line on the truck went out and we had to go to Pep Boys and install a new brake line in the 90 degree weather, hot pavement, and oh yeah lose our wine buzz. KKKKUUUUDDDDOOOs to Bloomington Harley. We will be back after we recuperiate finacially from our misshaps. Thanks again soooooo much!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"In May 2006 I rode my 2002 Heritage, Lola, from San Jose, California to Bloomington, Indiana and back. While passing through St. Louis, Lola developed a miss which got progressively worse as I rode across Illinois in a chilly, unpleasant rain. I arrived in Bloomington on a Friday night. There I was 2,300 miles from home with a sick bike and it looked like no way home. First thing Saturday morning I called HD of Bloomington and explained my situation. By 9:00 they had Lola in the service department. By noon I was back on the road with a healthy bike. What a great service department!"
